I don't vote labour, but I feel sorry for him, he was the obvious next leader and assumed the job was his, then along comes 'little' brother and steals it from him!!! MEAN thing to do to your brother.:(

Brothers do that. Mine told me i'd never be able to fix the ancient balsa plane from the attic, so when I did & got it flying, he jumped on it.

Always picture a millipede wearing a belt when I hear the name.

I just wish they would give it up.
They were 2 people competing for the same position.
The fact that they are brothers should have nothing to do with it.
I hope they can get over it - SOON.

Not being a labour voter, I think the unions just cost the party the next election. David Milliband seems to be a much more mature and experienced politician.:gnthb:

I am not a Liebour voter, never have been, never will be, and I feel absolutely no sympathy for any politician. Not one of them has the backbone to stand up and do what the electorate voted them in to do.

We have children in this country that have been badly failed by an education sytem that is more concerned with teachers hitting tagets, than actually teaching our children the most basic literary and numeracy skills.

Our society is plagued by vandals, drug addicts, lager louts, burglars and other assorted riff raff. Yet the politically correct and do gooders defend them. Allowing the criminals to be treated as victims and the real victims of crime are treated as the criminals when they try to defend themselves.

Our armed forces have been ordered to fight in two wars based on a pack of lies. They have done so using outdated and inefficient equipment, lack of ordinance and a shameful abuse of thier patriotism. Now they are facing the prospect of severe financial cuts to the defense budget. The last time that happened was between the world wars.

Ex members of the armed forces that are suffering the long term effects of war wounds, were promised preferential treatment under the NHS when the Neu Liebour regime closed all the forces hospitals and sold them off. I am one of those that was betrayed and lied to. I had to suffer for five years and four months for EMERGENCY surgery. My regiment threatened to sue the NHS before I was treated. I am now registered disabled.

We as a nation have limited resources owing to the fact that we are a small island nation. Yest we are swamped by millions of people that have contributed NOTHING to this country and most likely never will. Yet those of us paying tax are paying for these people to enter our country, the one that I swore an oath to protect and used to be fiercly proud of my military service. No politician will stop or return the influx. Nor will any of them tell the EU to mind thier own business. We are full up, we have far too many people in this country.

Great Britain today is NOT the country I was once so proud to have served. I blame the lying, backstabbing, money grabbing, hypocritical, self serving, dishonest and cowardly politicians.

No sympathy here.. none at all .. if he wasn't strong enough to win in all 3 area's then by definition he wasn't the leader. I do find a few things strange that the leader of a the party can do so with only approx 1/3 of the vote. Secondly I find it hypercritical that people who STRONGLY supported Brown and Blairs policies then sit there smiling and clapping when Ed says they were wrong to try and get their voters back.

But at the end of the day who actually believes a Politician ?

Chopper, you have got it spot on. Politicians no longer represent their constituants, they are more concerned with lining their own pockets.:old:

David Miliband will be back. He'll wait for his goofy-looking younger brother with the unfortunate adenoidal voice to make a complete pig's breakfast of the whole thing, then ride to the party's rescue on a big white charger. He'll be able to claim with some truth that the mess is nothing to do with him. 'Blairite' is fast becoming a dirty word but Blair won elections. Ed won't.

Bush would get off on grounds of diminished responsibility and low IQ.

Teflon Tony would wriggle his way out like the worm he is.

So its not worth it Dai.
