When i eventually move (i dont know when this will be) and do up my new garden I was thinking I'd like a seaside them to it.

Does anyone have a themed garden in this style that they can offer me some ideas about what to include? I'd also like to have some lawn and soil to it - can that be incorparated easily into the theme?

All ideas welcome so I can be prepared for when i move.:o)

hi miraflores i'd love to say carribean!! but i dont think the weather in the uk would really suit haha

bobj thanks! thats the ideas i was looking for!!! would never have thought about rope handrails - haha of course stripy deckchairs!! but classy ones ;o) i hope my cats dont see gravel though and think it's cat litter, maybe i'd have to come up with some safer alternatives while achieving the look -
i'll certainly google for pictures, thanks again!

If you're having a seaside theme, think of things that grow on the coast, eg. red, pink or white valerian, gaillarda, sea lavender, escallonia, Californian poppies, marigolds, thrift etc. etc. I've seen all of the above growing out of sand and/or pebbles.

Yes I turned a little part of my garden into a beach ,with a piece of drift wood sea seashells ,pebbles and used sharp sand to give th eeffect of the beach and planted small grasses lie what you sea on the dunes.

And bought at Focus at the weekend a solar lighthouse light.

So I have my own personal beach with my deckchair.Just use your imagination and think back when you were on the beach as a kid .

I still need to get my bucket and spade for effect. [IMG]

I bought seagreen effect wee pebbles that you get in a florist and they give you an effect of a water pool.
