So I made this cake stand for the tea room at work and it has been decided that its too large for the tea room.

A picture of it with a friend of mine in the background to demonstrate its size.

So I'm thinking my next move and am pondering renting it out for weddings.

Has anyone got any experience or advice about this?

If you want to go down that path, Jane, I imagine it would be worth having a few things to rent, not just the cake holder. For example to have also table cloths, marquees, candleholders (Maybe flowers..? Maybe wedding cake? Figurines to decorate the cake...) etc and then get in touch with event organizers, party planners, restaurants, catering companies. One observation though...I have noticed the screws were visible connecting the round base to the "tree". Would it be possible to conceal them or hold the two parts together in a way so that they are not visible?

I think it looks amazing JJ and I can't understand why it's too big but then I know nothing about serving tea and cakes! Sorry that doesn't answer your question though. :rolleyespink:
