Anyone know what this tree is?

    I have this tree in our garden and it is too near the house. It is under 6 feet tall.
    I don't know what it is. Any one have any ideas what it could be?

    I would like to move it in the Autumn to somewhere more suitable. Do you think it would be ok?

    It looks like a variegated maple to me but that's a guess on my part. You can move it later in the year but wait until it's dormant, when it has lost it's leaves, possibly late autumn into winter. :)

      I moved a small acer 3 years ago but waited till February....didn't
      have a single problem and I hacked at the roots a fair bit :)
