Anyone noted these fantastic plants before

    They are fantastic Palmate. What are they planted in? No sign of any growing medium.

    I've been growing a few for a while palmate.
    Cant say that I find them the easiest of plants to grow here, I dont think they like the dull winter months, and take a long time to recover in spring.
    I think they tend to grow on the beach in sand, mainly around the Carribean.

    Yup, from seed BM, I dont regard it as a good grower over here.
    I'm not that well up on them, but I think they can become treelike in the tropics.
    Mine grow fast but only for a short period each year so overall growth is slow, the lower leaves also drop, which can make them a bit leggy.
