Solved Anyone recognise this wildflower?

    Found this pretty flower growing in the grass on a recent walk. East Devon, just inland from the sea. The leaves were very insignificant, and I didn’t get a picture of them.
    Couldn’t see anything similar in the guides I’ve looked through.

      Could it be the double form of Lady's Smock, aka Cuckoo Flower? Cardamine pratensis.

        I didn’t know there was a double version, but that would make sense! There are loads of the regular Lady’s smock in other areas of our walk, although paler in colour. Of all the flowers that have been suggested in my research, that keeps coming up as the most similar. Hopefully we will pass that area tomorrow and I’ll have a better look through the long grass to see what its leaves look like. Thanks, @Liriodendron

          Just a follow up, did a search for double flowered Cardamine pratensis and found photos of similar ones! Result!
          One to tick off my list, thanks again. I knew someone on this forum would recognise it!
