Has anyone tried those tie on scratch labels you can buy? wondered just how long the writing would be identifiable. Its infuriating for my poor sad garden as a lot of the plants still have the plastic tag attached years later with the name of the garden centre i bought it from but when i look for the plant name its totally invisible! Have bought some normal white labels and a marker pen but not sure how long these will be legible either

For Christmas I was given some coloured labels. Exactly the same as the white but in fluorescent yellow, green, and orange. I haven't worked out a colour code system yet - but I like the idea of identifying annuals from perennials and tender perennials etc.

You could even put a coloured one by a plant to say this one needs attention - cutting back or moving or take cuttings etc.

I use Artline marker pens (indelible) on white plastic labels and can still read 10 year old labels. [IMG]
