    hello

Just been out to water my courgette plant and found loads of ants in the earth around it so lifted the leaves and those little b****rs have been farming aphids under the leaves

Can anyone recommend an environmentally friendly and child friendly way of getting rid of them? Seem to remember something about ladybirds eat aphids but how do I get ladybirds to come to my garden??

    Thanx!

Unless it gets out of hand I wouldn't worry too much.
Just rub out the aphids with your fingers, thet rarely become a real problem on corgettes, as far as I've seen.

what about my other plants near by? do they run the risk of being "contaminated" if I leave it be on the courgette? Its just that we have a lot of ants in our garden and not too far from the courgette I have peas, potatoes, sweetcorn, butternut squash, strawberries and salads growing....
    thx

Ants dont always mean aphids, aphids tend to be an early summer problem.

That in lots of cases goes away on its own.
You only need to act if you can see that serious damage is being done.
