Oh, Jack, this was so unnecessary .. we agreed to disagree and are still friends ...:wub2:

I am Gaelic through and through (Welsh .. born in Pontypridd, Irish ... material grandfather and Scottish .. paternal side .. no English whatsoever :heehee: ) ... so maybe you can find a nice video of Scotland that I may enjoy. xx

Us poor English sorts. What with the Cornish claiming their own identity to the south, the Welsh to the west, the Scots to the north, the Irish just across a short stretch of sea to the west, and the people of Normandy and Brittany just over another stretch of water to the south east.

Us English are stuffed if there's ever a Celtic uprising.

My family should be ok though, what with us all having Irish and/or Scottish to varying degrees in our recent ancestry.

Clueless, you and me, both. I'm proven English (back at least as far as 15th century) married to a half German. Living on a Celtic/Gaelic island, surrounded by Scots, Irish, Welsh and English and have Manx grandchildren.

I also have an Irish first name.....don't know where that came from. Best keep my head down I think! :heehee:

          Apologies Jack.
It was a facetious comment meant as a joke - being a Yorkshireman I get similar comments from occasionally from my mate in Stirling (hopefully also in fun)

            No apology needed
It is me who needs to apologise, to disrupting the good harmony in the thread, and Fourms, as others are jumping on Victoria due the facetious comment I made

I feel pretty terrible at the moment

Don't beat yourself up Jack, we all say things we shouldn't from time to time. I've done it recently as well. It's just a matter of engaging the brain before putting the mouth into gear which sometimes we forget. :)
