    hallo,

i would like an apple and a plum tree in a pot - trees to grow to 10 foot and be fan-trained.
    - what type of rootstock should i buy: i think M26 is too small
    - what size of pot should i use
    - what sort of soil will they need?

    thanks, karaman

    Rootstocks explained here:
    Rootstocks for fruit/RHS Gardening

Going by that maybe the MM106 would be better for you as being in a pot will constrain it, but I'm no expert on this.

You'll need a big pot eventually, 60l or more. To begin with you'll need smaller ones depending on the age/size you buy at.

For growing medium you need a soil based one such as John Innes No 3.
