Apple disease

Has anyone any idea what is causing this problem with this apple tree. Nearly all the fruit is split and most of the leaves have rusty patches and and the tree generally doesn't look happy. I was wondering if it was the weather as we have had a lot of rain down here in the west and it could be caused by over watering which was causing the fruit to rot ? The tree is about 6ft and is in a large tub. I have tried to put a picture on here but not sure if its worked
