Apple tart propagator

    Now THAT caught your attention :)
    This is the little plastic case in which Wonderwoman bought an apple tart .... they make an absolutely great little propagator with its own fitted lid to retain a moist warm environment for new seedlings. Small cakes come in a similar though larger case.
    Here I have seedlings from Acer Shirasawanum 'Aureum' coming on great (there are going to be about 12 successful seedlings). This is a beautiful little tree and last year was the first year that I have been able to harvest any seeds from my tree, and I am delighted at the success. My mother's name was Sarah Swann and this makes this little tree special for me. The second picture shows what this tree will be like in a few years time.
    The moral of the story is 'never throw away your apple tart case without giving it a second use'
