Hi everyone! We have what looks like an apple tree in our back garden, does anyone have any idea what kind it is and any tips on looking after it? Thanks in advance

There are so very many different varieties of apple that even an expert would struggle to ID it without seeing the leaf up close, the fruit, know the colour of the blossom, etc.. :heehee: Although, I'm sure some members may be able to have a good guess :blue thumb:

The only way to be absolutely sure would be to send a sample to a specialist. Not sure where you are located, but here in the Garden of England I only know of one specialist and the ID costs a few bob.

It looks like a dessert apple as opposed to a cooking apple though - but that is as far as I would go.

Thank you M, I didn't think it would be a straight forward question but at least you agree it's an apple tree, I was struggling even with that!
