    merrymeet again one and all,
A friend of mine has just bought a cox's orange pippin and wants to know when is the best time to plant it into the ground?
I only know about my type of tree and there was no instruction with hers when she bought it (supermarket buy!)

    All advice welcome lol.

Merrymeet Willow, planting apple trees should be done any time during the winter and early Spring months, October to December being the best months.

Is it in a pot? If so then anytime. If it is not then it should be planted as soon as possible. If its in a bag and its got bare roots, which i suspect it might have then I would soak the roots in a bucket of water for about half an hour cause they might have got dried out.
A cox will need another variet to pollinate the flowers so i hope a neighbour will have another type of tree.
