I was wondering which apples anyone might recommend for growing in Glasgow? Would jonagold, braeburn or elstar grow OK here?

Which would you recommend as the best fruiters for this climate?

Our best cropper is a Tydeman's Early Worcester.
Lovely sweet apples - look and smell great and keep well too. We always have a fantastic crop (now 9 years since we planted it) and the apples store well too. We are still using the apples we stored last autumn - mainly in fruit smoothies, cooked (nice in a bowl of porridge)and just eaten raw. Should do fine near Glasgow as the climate where you are is a bit milder than here.

Here's a link to a pic that should get you salivating!

you can't do better than Butterworth's nurseries - great organic nursery, and they really know what they're talking about. Ring them - phone number on the website.
