Here is my pot of Aptenia I have done from cuttings from Spain and Italy. I have three varieties including a varigata, a Pink/Red, a Purple and a Yellow.

When we bought this cottage in 1997 there was a lovely pink/red one growing out of the stone wall and was at least 60cm long.

I had to google this, I've never heard of it - what a lovely little plant. I'm looking forward to seeing more of it as it grows and flowers with you @Victoria

I grew it outside successfully for a number of years early 80s, along with various lampranthus, tradescantias and chlorophytum. Snow drifts and weeks of minus temps done it and the lampranthus in (86-87 I think)

It survives in my cold frame pretty well all year round, its rooted into the gravel.
