Are there any bulbs....

    I plant straight into ground now for summer blooming?

    Not strictly bulbs (corms) but Gladioli, Freesias, Liatris Spicata and for the more adventurous, Nerines.

    Agapanthus (normally in pots, but I've planted in a pot and sunk into the ground),
    Crocosmia, various shades of red and orange.
    Cana Lillies for the tropical look.

    You might be a bit late for Alliums, which give various purple shades in early summer.

    You may be a bit early for Autumn flowering Crocus, Colchicum.

    Alliums are available to buy as growing plants now in garden centres - bit more expensive than bulbs but you'll have them ever after.

    Check out your local Poundshop as they'll have summer flowering bulbs in stock now - most need planting soon though.

    They have loads in the poundshop, lilies ,freesias,etc any bulbs corms being sold now will mostly flower this summer, all the early spring bulbs dont go on sale until the autumn as a general rule,shops cannot keep them they have to be sold in season or they rot in the bags :thumb:
