    Hi Everyone,

I've been growing some field beans as green manure to improve my heavy clay soil.

They have grown really well :blue thumb:and have now flowered (I think I should have dug them into the soil before they flowered). The flowers are quite attractive - a smaller snap dragon flower shape but white and pink.

I was just wondering - are the beans edible? I'm tempted to let them grow, pick the beans for eating and then dig the pod less plants into the soil.

    Thanks very much,
    Chris
