Hi Everyone, I've only recently started to develop an interest in gardening and so am still trying to learn so please accept my apologies if i am inadvertently asking a stupid question here.. I have a tree in my garden which i have recently been told is elderberry. I have attempted to identify it myself however i have found a similar berry called dogwood that is apparently toxic. I would be most grateful if someone who is knowledgeable could assist me in identifying as i really want to make some elderberry wine. Pics shown below
Hi Pete, Ziggy, Daitheplant & Clueless. Many thanks for your help, im chuffed that they are elderberries as my tree is gigantic and is absolutely packed with them. Feel free to give me a shout in 3 months time and i will be more than happy to send a bottle of elderberry wine your way. Thanks again, Daz
Sorry for the short answer there earlier Daz, it was only seconds before Torchwood started If you make Elderberry wine, only use unrefined sugar, they are really good for hang overs as they stand without the use of refined sugar
