Behind our fence is a very tatty bank with a hedge (immediatly behind this is a field full of horses) you can see this area as it is higher than our garden. (our garden is then on 2 levels) We have been meaning for years to do something with this bank, all the other neighbours have, it needs a good clearing, which we plan on doing now over a couple of weekends, but we dont have the time or skill on our hands to create a wonderful masterpiece like either side of us have. Id like to plant something, that is of very little maintenance.

I realy like foxglove, and the hedge is such a mess I thought we could go with a sort of woodland theme ?? Can anyone recommend any hardy plants that would thrive annually along side a battered hedge, that I could add to year after year.?

I think this year will mainly be the clearing, but I would like to plant one or 2 things.
