Good morning all,I'm looking for your views.
I have a growing area which is now empty I was growing potato 's in,I've dug it over added 4 inch of compost to it and dug it in and the condition of the soil looks great,is it best to now cover the area to stop weeds or just leave it as it is ready for planting in the spring?many thanks.Roy.

Morning Roy, I would be tempted to leave it uncovered for a few weeks, to see what weeds pop up, as you may have disturbed some seeds. Weed them out and then cover if you wish.

Many thanks for your replies,it is a large raised bed I constucted years ago and filled it with Clay top soil, over the last few years I've been improving it and now its what I would consider (novice) to be good growing soil ,with so much manure and twenty wheel barrows of top soil- compost added this year.
