    Guys
I believe I have just had a "My brain has just had a Google moment, or something".

I have had an interest in cacti for many years and at different times, quite extensive collections. In all that time I have known this plant under this name.

Today I Googled it as I was hoping to find a particular image, taken in the field. Lots of links, but 'Images' returned only 4 "images", only 1 to do with A. kotscheubeyanus.
After a couple of attempts with the same results, I decided to try synonymes.

    Bingo!!!

If I search for Roseocactus kotschoubeyanus, I get a page full of images of R. kotschoubeyanus, AND links to pages of images of A. kotschoubeyanus and all it's varieties ands subsp.

    What's going on????

    Fof

I've looked and it appears the accepted scientific name is Ariocarpus.
The Microsoft page shows images of the plant under it's accepted name - Ariocarpus kotscheubeyanus

    Yep, Michael

Totally agree. It appears that Goggle is just being Google.
I still haven't found the image I'm looking for. :new:

Did you try the microsoft page, there are lots of images of it on there ... although maybe not the specific image you're looking for.

I've been collecting cacti since I was a teenager in the 1960s, and have over 100, but never had an Ariocarpus.
