Aristolachia surprise

    I`ve just come back from the baltic state , while I was there I went and visit the botanical garden , didn`t expect anything due of the severe temperature , against any odds I was actually blown away .
    Most of all was to find a giant aristolachia gigantea growing outside the greenhouse , yes I do understand that maybe the warm greenhouse keep the plant warm , but we are talking of an avarege of -25/30 c every years .

      Longk I have no idea , that place was actually really interesting as I saw indoor plants that we grow outdoor and plants that should not survive in uk where growing outside there , overall I saw few more aristolachias growing outdoor and couldn`t belive it ....this one in the picture had huge leaves .

      this plant worth just for the leaves alone

        I suspect an aristolochia macrophylla , nice foliage but not a great flower

          Sal, could be.
          Hard to be sure without seeing flowers.
