ARLEY HALL AND IT'S DELIGHTS

Despite a trapped nerve in my left hip and a "beating" from the Physiotherapist I managed to keep a promise to lifelong friends and take them on a tour around the gardens of Arley Hall, near Knutsford in Cheshire.
There's a lot of pics so I will do a series of them but even so you might want a mug of Tea/Coffee or a glass of "Glug, glug, Whoo" when ambling around with me.


We were going to have a look in the Hall but they were filming an episode of "Peaky Blinders" which I've never seen but I believe is about a gang of Victorian criminals in Birmingham.

We started out by walking past the Estate Chapel and into the Grove which begins with a garden of shrubbery and then into a wooded area and the whole are has an atmosphere of tranquility and peace......you can feel any stress just ooze out of you.
There were also some interesting works of art from local artists around the Grove, very clever and beautiful.......

 

Then a visit into the Chapel........

This is something I find interesting and really tugs at the heart strings.......it's the memorials of the Horses and dogs the family of Arley had.
