I'll be laying artificial lawn in the next few days, I'm all clear on how to do this apart from one aspect, the border up against the fence of my neighbour.

Standard 6x6 panels on their side, quite old with bits of grass/plant coming through. My desire is to stop their grass/plants meeting my artificial grass without the need for a properly constructed border. On the other side (my fence) the grass will sit against concrete posts and concrete gravel boards.

I was thinking of the hammer in lawn edging on my side of the fence, but am unsure if this is wise.

    Any suggestions much appreciated.

Something interlocking and hammered into the earth metal possibly.
'metal lawn edging' ebay. Couch grass is difficult to manage from next door.

The durable interlocking plastic edging looks like the one I'll go for. Thank you for the reply and reassurance
