I thought I would post a couple of pics of the art I am currently working on as someone asked me to! I go to two art classes, one is Art Therapy and the other is just art with an art teacher to help us learn a bit more. I have always loved art in all its forms but have recently revived my interest in it along with some crafting. This first picture will be framed when I have added the poem I have written [on the left hand side] I am trying to learn calligraphy first!! :hehe: The second sketch is about two thirds finished and is the one the teacher thought good enough to display.
Excellent Jazmine ... it will be interesting to read the poem to the first one. :wink: I love fairies so look forward to seeing the finished result on the second one. Are you using charcoal or pencil? I paint in acrylics on stretched canvas, however have currently lost interest ... but do have half a dozen on display here. Thank you for sharing your hobby with us.
Hi Victoria, thank you for your kind comments. I use pencil - I have used charcoal, also done water colours never oils though. I just adore pencil work then maybe just one colour added. I also love the art that depicts feelings and emotions so that is where the art therapy comes in. It has taken some effort to join two new groups but I am enjoying them so much now. Maybe you should have a go again, it's very therapeutic!!
just great jazmine super drawings, im a water colour artist mainly pet portraits mind ive not done any for a while, my thread is in hobbies dont know whether you have seen them. anyway great to see your work and thanks for sharing, will look forward to seeing more
Hi again Jaz ... I just have too much else going on in my life at the moment ... incredible when you retire that you haven't got time for things and wondered how you ever managed to work full time and do normal everyday things. :dh: I do actually have a painting on the go but I'm at a crossroads with it so have stopped ... also because I've had visitors. I'm thinking of changing my style as I'm more classic and think I need to go modern. I am starting to do different mediums in one using pearls and metallics. My website is in my signature if you'd like to look. I think it needs updating but I have to rely on t'other half for that ..... another :dh:

Thankyou for your kind comments. Victoria I work mostly in pencil but at class have done charcoal, water colours etc but my leaning is toward pencil drawing. My son and his girlfriend asked to have one of my pictures so for Christmas I am working from a lovely photo of the two of them together. My neighbour has also asked for two drawings from photographs but to be honest I prefer to work for myself or close family. The poem is a very deep sad poem as most of my work is about sadness, [I'm not at all sad by the way!] and I love Deviant Art as a lot of the stuff there is deep and meaningful. Will post pics later when OH gets them to me. :lollol: Slatta do you like art? Everyone has such an individual style, that's what I love.
