ASDA gardening chemicals have been reduced. Their own brand soluble plant food is 12:3:24 - so quite good :blue thumb:

I picked up a 1l spray bottle of Resolva weedkiller for £1.49 - they had some weedol path clear for 79p a 1l bottle.

Some great bargains there! Will have to pay a visit :dbgrtmb:

Make you wonder why they're reducing the items so much at the height of the growing season?!? It's either a clever marketing ploy to draw people in to buy other stuff too...

Or they're clearing the shelves to make way for Christmas crackers already"snow plough" :th scifD36: :wallbanging:

They are definitely clearing shelves for school .. and then halloween and then xmas and then new year and then easter...

Went to B&M and all the miraclegro have disappeared as they were reduced to £1. Cry me a river!:wallbanging::wallbanging:

@clanless :goodpost: :dbgrtmb: Will certainly have a look ..

Some very good prices there, useful perhaps to play safe and get some now at those prices rather than risk somebody beating you to all the really knock down stuff when it gets gets reduced further, unless you've got the time to trawl the stores and be there at just the right time.

It could have been a lot worse, like going there and finding it had been reduced to only 10p (like it does in August, when they get their Halloween stuff in) and had all gone.

It's our big shop at Asda this weekend , I will peruse the gardening section for bargains :blue thumb:
As above, this is the end of the garden season for the supermarkets , so shelves are cleared for the next sale items . Will this be back to school ? Most schools have not even finished yet and it's a bit early for Halloween.

Thanks for the tip-off! I was very pleased to pick up some Growmore and some Fish, Blood and Bone today, both 74p for 1.5 kg. Lots of tools, accessories, ornaments, solar lights etc too - though nothing that filled a gap in my life.

Crumbs! @Clare G I wish I had read your post carefully. I blamed the dog for distracting and blunting my sharp mind!

I bought 2 x bfb at B&M and was so tempted by another greenhouse which I can walk in for £4.99. But a man talked me out of it, saying that meshed plastic was much better. Since I want to move, I don't really want to move more junk. bought tons of jiffy planters trays and cups 10p and bought £2 of them. and then went to Asda and got 2bfb and 1growmore. Wish I hadn't bought the bfb in B&M as, as @Clare G says, 74p for 1.5kg.. I might return those to B&M as theirs is only 1Kg... I know, call me meanie!:ideaIPB:

@alp yes 'tis an excellent deal! I would have bought some more boxes but knew I wouldn't have enough plastic storage containers to decant them into!

@Clare G they are in a zoom a very old Lloyd Loom bedside drawer in the garage. I, too, ran out of room to store them. But need must be so if I see Asda reducing them, I will buy again.. Never say no to a bargain! Hehe! It was only last week that I found out that I had 4 tomorites left from last year's bargain hunting. I was very p***d when I found them all gone in all of the stores this week.

Went to Asda again and bought more Growmore and BFB. Shame all the MiracleGro slow release are gone .. I now resort to making my own tomorite by dunking banana peels in a tub of water.. I have never eaten so many bananas in a whole week.
