Looks like a nitrogen/magnesium deficiency. Have the trees been disturbed recently, or had anything done to them out of the ordinary?

Get some organic fertiliser down, water well, check and repeat if necessary.

    Where are you Scottr ?

What kind of Ash tree is that?

Looks like scorch to me, along with lack of water.

Are you in the States Scottr? Could it be a pawpaw tree?

Edit: Just googled American Ash (Fraxinus americana) - that could be it?

Hi Scottr. Your Tree looks like it is suffering from Windburn. the angle the tree is growing indicates it has been getting strong winds. the tree next to it being ok could be getting some protection from your poor tree.

Hi thank you all for the replies, I am in the high desert in Southern California, well, lets see, I dont think its wind or water related as there is another tree (same kind) right next to it, which is fine. I may try and take a problem limb to the nursery and see if they know, it quite strange mainly because we have 6 or 7 of these trees and only this one is sick,,
