Asian hornet v Mole cricket

    Snapped this bit of action whilst lounging on my sunbed in Cyprus.

    The hunt

    The battered loser

    The hornets scan the ground for these mole crickets and when they find one they pull
    it up and begin to dismember it.
    Some ,like this one,live to fight another day.Don`t know if the lost limbs regrow.

    Pip, I think they regenerate new limbs when the moult. I know spiders do. Great pics. [​IMG]
