Asparagus (Connovers Colossal)

I bought a plant last weekend and have it in my greenhouse. It has grown fairly quickly during the week.

Should I let it continue or cut it back?

Also is it better in the greenhouse or outside?

Outside!

You would need about a dozen plants to get a decent crop off.

They should not be harvested ideally till about the third year of growth, second if you are very lucky.

Then only take some of the spears, to give the plants time to bulk up, then you will be eating it for ever!
