    Hi everyone
    New on here.
Just wanted some advice for a mature asparagus bed please.
Seems to be very slow growth. I have had this bed for 15 years and fertilize yearly. Still getting small spears and not a lot.
I live in Atlantic Canada. Bed is in full sun. Weed free. And very rich soil.
    I appreciate the advice!

    Thank you

    Hi whaler, :sign0016: to GC.
Here's a link that might be of some help. https://www.rhs.org.uk/advice/grow-your-own/vegetables/asparagus
Do you leave the fern to die down naturally? I know how tempting it is to chop it once it starts to look tatty!
The only other suggestion I have is that Asparagus beetle might be weakening the plants. Have you noticed any red, white and black beetles around?

All I can add is there good drainage? I understand that asparagus needs well drained soil.

Thanks for the comments. No beetles noticed. It is a raised bed and has good drainage. I will review the video.
