Has anyone grown these? we have several healthy plants which are all flowering but no sign of any peas yet - does anyone know how long they take to appear/mature?

I have peas!!! they are very small - about 1 cm long and very thin - 1/4 cm diameter hence why I didn't notice them! We tried eating one and it tasted of nothing!! I am glad I tried these but for the effort and time it took the crop so far is miniscule and definitely not worth it if it doesn't improve 500% very soon LOL

Not too sure what these asparagus peas are. Although I have grown asparagus itself. Any connection here?

I grew these a couple of years ago. My plants were unattractively leggy, flowers nothing to speak of, and the peas, which grew to about 3", tasted of cardboard.
I'd be interested to know if anyone has anything positive to say about these!
No connection with ordinary asparagus. This is what T&M say:

I agree Liz, mine are the same, I had such high hopes of an attractive plant with the bonus of edibility (if there is such a word!) and they have been dashed - what a waste of space:(

Oh those are funny things, I'd never heard of them before.

Liz: T&M say its got a "unique gourmet flavour" - I suppose cardboard would fit that description :)

I grew a batch last year with high hopes of enjoying the delicacy and attractivity. If you pick them when teeeny tiny - under a cm and steam them (like mange tout) they do exude an asparagus flavour - however for a decent portion you'll be looking at somewhere around 300 pods.

let some pods mature and save the seeds to give to folk - they'll be impressed by the gesture and you'll all have a hearty laugh the following year when the crop disappoints.
