    I spotted some very young plants in B&Q for £1.50 which I thought very reasonable, amnd have just picked up some from "sootys" in southport for a fiver each but they were whoppers. I can package a couple of the babies off to you give me a minute I`ll go outside and count how many I can get.

    Okay, this needs to be done one step at a time. Ive got some pics, but need help with how to take cuttings from them, I have only ever divided them before. I have a baby that is fit to go as is, but cant remember which one I took it from so that ones pot luck.


    And as usual my pics will be enormous so apologies inadvance if its a pain the aspidistra to go through the post.


    And its my pleasure Tweaks, anything for one of us!

    There are some great colours there lass.

    That reminds me. I promised a New Zealand Flax to someone, must look up the email as it is now ready to send.

    Sorry Claire, didn't read your post properly.

    I don't know how to take cuttings from Astilbe's. Propagation is usually done from seed or splitting isn't it?

    So I'm flummoxed.:confused:

    I have only ever divided them before so not sure either, I will google it and see if I can get one simple technique.
