I noticed those. Are any of the roses that they have on offer scented?

I got a couple from there last year to see if they did ok. They were great. So, I've got another load of them this year.
Sian- Yes, there are some very highly scented ones there. It depends which type of roses you want though. :)

            Got my selection of roses:

            Blessings
            Swan lake
            Charles de Mills
            Ballerina
            Deep Secret

Not sure where in the garden to put them yet, so I will either pot them up in garden compost in large pots, or heel them into the spaces on the herb bed...

Two roses now potted up, unfortunately have to go to work now, so other three will have to wait.

I take it everyone else is ignoring the instructions on the packaging, saying that the bare-root roses can be left in ther bags until next April?!:ouch1:

When I bought my bare root roses last autumn from three different suppliers they all stated the same. They can be left in the packaging for up to three weeks but to take them out and soak in a bucket of water before planting. :)

I got thirteen of them and have planted the all. I couldn't bear the thought of leaving them in their bags.

I purchased some of these Roses @3 years ago from Aldi.
I planted alternating 3 Paul Scarlet and 3 Golden Shower climbing roses to grow up a 7ft fence,
results Excellent, now. I have noticed these Roses require a lot of water/feeding,they are (Hungry Animals). When I purchased them I soaked them in buckets of water for 24 hours then planted them.
I also Purchased, at the same time ,"Blue moon", I renamed this rose "Rebecca", after my Granddaughter .
It's a rose that blooms first, and the 2nd bloom is later than the rest of the roses.

Just like my Granddaughter, (First In The Pub And Last To Leave):ccheers::ccheers:.;).

You're right Music, roses do take a lot of looking after, but they're worth it! :)
