At last!

This flowered about eight years ago and nothing since...That is,until now ...I've only just spotted it and I must walk past it daily :rolleyes:

 

Thats looks great Paladin. Is it red like the bud suggests or is it a white one ? My brothers one flowered 2 years ago, he stupidly planted it next to the back door of his house and conitunally stabbed himself on it. They are really vicious if your not careful. It became know as the Bast*rd plant! I have 2 B'stard plants but they are quite imature and have yet to flower - looks great. They aren't shy about producing offspring either are they at that size.

:D B M.. That is a very apt name...You have to be very careful weeding around that :eek:
It's a white flower(if I can remember that far back!)
I also have a varigated one which flowered last year and that was after taking action removing about five side shoots!Pete gave me advice about that last June.
rosietu..Mrs Pal assures me it was a white flower...can't argue with that...can I??? :D

 

Hate to say mine got to this stage last year then just failed. I suspect because Mr Wac had decided to underplant it with a varigated ivey which I have a great hazard to myself (ah the bravery of the modern day female) REMOVED and no BM, I could not possibly mention any such rude words as you suggest

Dont think they come in any other colour than white, some might say cream.

It is extremely striking and well worth waiting for. Again another brilliant photo, it is almost as if I have seen it in the flesh

Heres mine from last year - I got stabbed and poked too whilst tidying it up - but forgave it when it did this for me :D

 

TWO...Now thats greedy!! The wind took mine coupled with the weight of the rain it was horizontal in the morning so I cut it down quickly to enjoy the flowers which are quite delicate for a short time.

 

Your idea of giving it to your daughter is lovely - and I do have two daughters
