I've been trying to sort out the coloured graphic in my smaller jukebox for some time.
The original was very faded. This was what it looked like before I bought it.

In fact, it was a complete mess.

I tried using coloured paper printed off from my printer, but it was a bit wishy washy.

The colours weren't "vibrant enough" though it's hard to see here.

So I've been experimenting with coloured A4 acetate sheets. These are hard to get hold of in the "right" colours in small quantities.., like two... so to get the correct shades it was a case of mixing them. My first attempt wasn't too successful but I've now managed to get it looking reasonable. My biggest problem was getting a mauve, combinations of blue and red weren't getting there but I managed to get a sheet of pink so although it isn't quite right, it's the best I could do. With some frosted acetate to back the colours to hide the back-board below the fluorescent tube, I've got a reasonable result, though my camera doesn't really do it justice.

My wife thinks I worried to much about it. But that's just me. I'm happy now.

I had the amplifier rebuilt too. It came back yesterday and sounds much better than before. This morning, "it brought tears to the eyes" of our postman who always shows an interest as he has seen the jukeboxes a few times. (sorry if your mail was late!)
A while back he was curious why all these 7" singles were coming from America and wanted to know why I was buying records when most people had been buying CDs for over 25 years.
