After nearly losing the plant to the heat a couple of times and suffering from blossom drop early on I now have 8 about this size on one plant and a couple more smaller ones plus still lots of blossom.

The vegetable expert book says to pull off any remaining flowers after 5 fruits have formed :dh: oh well I guess I will just have to provide the plant with some extra support and think lots of Moussaka will be on the menu in a few weeks!:D

You must have green fingers Cheryl, aubergines are very tricky things to grow in my experience.

Wow well done!! My 2 aubergine plants are still all green. No flowers or any signs of anything appearing! Tell us your secret!

Aubergines I can grow, it is cabbages that are my problem. I seem to attract all the cabbage whites...saying that, my aubergines are a bit late this year only because I was slow with potting them on.

Well done Ciryluk. Aubergines are really tricky.
I tried for years and got nothing but flowers.
Last year I got 2 big whoppers but I'm not growing them anymore. All that space and work for 2 aubergines is not worth it. I think I just wanted to prove I could grow them.
Enjoy your bumper crop and well done you.
