While my other half has been walking around the village she has spotted this growing down walls etc and wants some in the garden, "aubrieta purple cascade" i think this is the right name, she loves the bright colour!! how would i go about getting this plant for the garden? where would be the best place to buy it... any help would be good just to keep the wife off my back lol, i done a quick search but only found seed.
Buy Aubrieta Purple Cascade (Cruciferae) in the UK I love the colour. I have seen it in so many gardens over the last couple of years round where we live and definitely want some to put in our garden. I have a different colour (more of a pinky purple) in a pot in the back but when we do our rockery in the front I plan on getting some of this one.
:WINK1: Hi Scooby, I think you will still find plants in any garden centre or nursery.. Even some of these little plant stalls by peoples gates...
Hi Scooby. I love Aubrieta too. There are loads of named varieties around, but at the end of the day I suspect that they all look about the same. As Marley says, you should find them in most garden centres. Once established they will spread and it is possible to divide them and replant a bit elsewhere - but they don't really like to be moved much. You could always grow from seed.
