Authentic pizza base recipe and tips

Hi,

I have exhausted all the internet recipes for this one, I cannot find a sure fire recipe for the thin crispy base you can get from one of the very good italian restauraunts.

Does anyone have a perfect pizza base recipe?

I can cook pretty much any italian food, but this one eludes me.

 

To get a really authentic pizza it's not just a recipe you need but a pizza oven!

 

just found these pizza ovens on the web you can go for this lovely authentic one over £1000 or you can get an electric one for your kitchen for over £200.

 

lollipop here a recipe for a thin crust dough

1 envelope of dry yeast
1/4 teaspoon of sugar
3/4 cup of lukewarm water
1 3/4 cups of unbleached plain flour
1/2 teaspoon salt

combine 1 envelope yeast, sugar and warm water mix a little and let stand fo 6 to 8 mins
then combine the flour and salt
sprinkle a surface with a little flour then your dough mix knead for 2 to 3 minutes.
roll out a 12 inch pizza base
prepare and apply your sauce and toppings
then cook in oven on a 500f for 8 to 12 minutes
