Automatic ventilation in my greenhouse. Made a small improvement with 2 bottles of beer. Works great

When it gets hot the device opens the window the bottles go up. Bottles are used to close the window, as the window opens from the top and one spring is not enough to close it. The device can lift up to 7 kilograms, which is enough to lift bottles.

 

Ingenious! I find that one bottle of dry white wine solves most problems

Seems a waste of beer when you could have used empty plastic milk bottles filled with water

 

So let's see if I get this right:

When it is cold, you hang a few beer bottles that work against a spring.
When it gets too hot, someone comes strolling along feeling quit uncomfortable, sees two bottles of cool beer hanging out in the open, drinks them, and the reduced weight opens up the window?

Genius!!!

But how many bottles of beer do you normally go through in a normal summer?

Does I work in a gradient? So let's say Budweiser opens up at 38 degrees Celsius (because who wants to drink that?), Heineken opens at 32 degrees Celsius and a pint of Guinness goes at 27?

Would this work in Scotland as well or do I have to remove 2 degrees from standard British opening Temperature to convert to Scottish temperature.

So many questions
