I don't think you can, no. The internet and forums like this not only allow total anonymity but users can create any persona they want - even something totally opposite to the way they really are.

The way users write/type can say a bit about them, things such as their grasp of basic spelling and grammar, correct use of punctuation, their humour, manners, friendliness and online decorum. This, however, does not illustrate their true nature, only possibly their education and upbringing.

no roders, not early - just a strong one!

Actually LoL it was your avatar that provoked the idea, I was comparing your rose with mine (ouu errrr.)
then wondered if you could bi pass all that our arborist friend so succinctly described as being the way he summed people up which had the inbuilt flaw of people pretending to be something they were not whilst in cyber space.

I noted how you used to change your avatar quite a lot, but had stuck with the rose which is a blowsy open rose, bright and sunny one one side with two distinct colours and darker on the other showing only one shade. The colours are warm and the petals give the feeling of someone throwing their arms open accepting the world, but at the same time drawing people in to their centre. Interestingly you have also framed the rose.

My rose on the other hand is a colder red shade with a convoluted petal formation - I won't go on, you get the point.

There are so many areas now in GC, it just fascinates me why people are drawn into each others worlds and its not always the plants that are the central attraction.

I now see where you are coming from, my Diminutive One. :)

What a wonderful analagy to my rose. It is called Sunseeker and I bought it in the UK to remind me of where I wanted to be .... and it is now here with me. Yes, it probably describes me as a person and the framing is just me making everything neat and tidy.

I do tend to change my Avatar with the seasons and all of them will depict a picture of one of my flowers ..... or cats, the children of my life ..... except at Christmas and New Year's when I put lovely cartoon cats up.

I couldn't understand you before but you've opened my eyes a bit .... :thumb:

My wife gave me the name Walnut because I am physically tough and go a nice brown colour in the sun, but as you can see from the picture in my avitar I have a delicate side, I do have different names on other sites.
