    Hi DJ,

First question - are they the same kind of azalea? There are some evergreen varieties, so that may be the difference?

Like Dave said one kind does drop it's leaves so if they are the same, you are probably doing something wrong.

    kind regards boygardener

I thought all azaleas were evergreen?? Must check!

Have just done so, and learned that I was wrong - not unusual - so I'm glad to learn something new today! :D

So the likeliest thing is that one of your plants is deciduous, not ill! Fingers crossed....

I'm not sure how the temperature affects some as well? We have had a "rescue" plant in the kitchen (9p from Morrisons!!) for well over a year and it has remained evergreen, but now it has reached sufficient size, I have put it in the (much colder) lean-to at the back of the house and it has dropped a lot of leaves and is looking a lot more deciduous!

The point of that ramble is that you may have different temperatures from your friend, which may cause a different reaction in the plant?
