    I have been watching a nest in my garden for the last month-ish and over the last few days they hatched [​IMG]

    Only your common Streptopelia decaocto Collared Dove but pretty brave nesting a couple of feet away from rampaging under 5yr olds[​IMG]

    I have so many nests this year (3 that I am sure of) but the foliage is that thick I only ever see the smaller birds diving in and out. :)

    Oh how cute and lucky you being able to sneak up for those wonderful close-ups.

    No doubt the parents also grew up with kids racing around and think it is normal.

    I hope they survive , I really do.
    We had a nest like that last year and a cat killed all the babies. :mad:

    Better Collared Doves than no birds at all, we have no nests but there again we haven't much of a garden! Great pics BM.:thumb:
