Baby Robin Drama

    thought you guys might like to see a few pics of the little robin we saved from the neighbours cat :cat-kittyandsmiley: he's a very lucky baby bird as he was completely unharmed! thank god :love30: he couldn't fly very well yet so we made him a wire mess cage under the bird feeder, we left it open at the top so both parents were able to feed him and also so he could leave when he was strong enough to fly, which he did 3 days later :wub2: it was wonderful watching Mr and Mrs Robin caring for their baby :imphrt:

      and yes the primroses were in absolute tatters afterwards :doh:ah sure tis nothin' a little TLC wont fix ;)

      also an unexpected perk!.....there's not a creepy crawly to be found in the garden :yes: Mr and Mrs Robins way of paying for their child's bed and board no doubt lol :snorky:

            Lovely story, I like happy endings.:smile: We have had pair of Robins since we moved here. This year there were 2 but now there is just the 1 :sad: Don't know what has become of the other. It's very sad seeing just the 1 Robin. Well done for saving baby - I'm sure his/ her parents appreciate it.

                      thanks guys it was wonderful to watch Mr and Mrs Robin going about their business in such close proximity to us:wub2: it felt like they barely left the garden in those 3 days, at least one was always present at any given moment :imphrt: i felt quite privileged to get to see into their little world for a few days :love30: it felt like i was a part of some nature documentary :heehee:....i was half expecting David Attenborough to emerge from the shrubbery at any moment lol :thud: :loll:
