    Afternoon all

I'll just finished making my raised bed and dig a 1ft deep trench in the front yard. I have my topsoil on order but was wandering if it would be worth will putting a layer of farmyard manure at the bottom of the trench & raised bed in the mean time or just mixing the manure in with the top soil when it arrives?
I plan to plant Bruxus Sempervirens (hedge) in the trench/front yard and have a few Helx green ripple Ivy, Viginia creeper and an evergreen Clematis Avolanche in the raised been in the backyard.

    Cheers and thanks

It would be the perfect time to do it in my opinion, AND digging some more in when the topsoil arrives too. Can`t have too much cr*p in my opinion lol.

The green ripple Ivy is one of my favourite ivys (or is it ivies?? you wouldn`t think I had any qualifications) -a dropdead gorgeous leaf shape-very nice choice, and your choice of clematis is superb.
