Another problem for the gardening community to contend with. Let`s hope for a harsh winter to kill it off. David.

you know accidentalgardener if it's not one thing it's another..whatever will land upon us next? I love fuschias, don't know much about them as yet but had a few in my garden in N.Ireland..especially the huge flowering ones.

thanks accidentalgardener, I was in Co.Down, loved it..very similar to where I am now, in Argyll, and the people are very friendly. I was sorry to leave. When I lived here last, I had a few indoor fuschia but they all seemed to develop green & whitefly. I have to say, they are just about my favourites, although when I get organised and get a garden again I'm going to try and grow Datura? (Angel's Trumpets) I think they're spectacular

Great bush you have there Whis4ey.

I have acquired a few cuttings of fuchsias from a neighbour that are sitting on my window cill in water and have an amazing amount of roots waiting to be potted up, but every time I try to pot them on they just die! :(

    Any help guys and girls?

    Helen.xxx.

The 'bush' is a wild fuscia grown from a cutting found in a hedge
These grow wild here along the sides of the road (especially in the south of Ireland)
It has certainly done well for me [IMG]

well whis4ey my mother has a hedge of wild fuschia growning round her garden, it has some show of flowers! Makes a nice change from privet hedging. Mind you, like Hellofadigger, every time I try to pot up cuttings they wither and die!
