    Hello all,

My program of lawn repair has been continuing.

The deep green from the first good feeding a few months back has faded a little and it's time for a second one. I'm waiting for a few wet days.

I noticed a bit of dead grass has built up since I last scarified so earlier today I fired up the Stihl and scarified and then aerated the lawn.

Given that it's probably not the best time of year to do this, have I really done anything wrong?

Is it best to get some thatch out again now and give the lawn a chance to breathe?

Thanks for any advice. I think this is a very useful forum for both young and old gardeners alike.

Its the best time of year to scarify actually, as you are removing dead grass and roots in the growing season, so you are giving it chance to recover before the cold starts. I would recomend another feed though to help the grass thicken again and recover.

    good work though
