So it's been a while and gardening has become a bit of a secondary hobby of late. I think I did too good a job at the maintenance free philosophy to the point where there is very little to do. The occassional deforestation and thats about it ! I have become an ebay nut and have been upgrading my would be track car with lots of loverly bargains. In fact just yesterday I bought a new front bumper for a staggering £20 ready for cutting and fitting a front mounted intercooler....I digress:D

I really am not kidding I have done nothing of any significance in the garden this year apart from some tomatoes, a couple of hardy ferns and potting up some plants I had from Shiney.

At the moment I am slightly worried about the prospect of new neighbours and what will be the reaction to my plot. Its fairly well behaved as far as boundaries are concerned, but I don't want a serial hack-meister spoiling years of work.

So a few pics, my camera was running out of batteries so I took as many as I couid. I will try and get some better ones at the weekend:thumb:

Oh my goodness is that really your garden, it is absolutely stunning and I wished I lived closer to see it in real life.

BM: what a fantastic transformation - you don't need to do any more to it - take the rest of the year off and relax!

All started with the infill behind us eating up 300 feet of garden with 9 new chavtastic houses:rolleyes: I wanted a cocoon of foliage and different rooms to enjoy. I also tried to stretch the garden working from opposite corners with similar tree colours to aide the stretch. layering up the garden in height and stealing the view of the trees that were left has created a 40x30 foot space that looks bigger;)

    Devastation ! ... profit 1 - wildlife 0 :(

    Spectacular as always, Babe. xx

Is that a Catalpa creating the wonderful shade?

Your Eriobotrya japonica looks very healthy. :thumb: They are fruiting here now .... yuk.

Lovely flowers from Shiney ... what are they? And I guess the Aloe from pete is the plant in the very front? .... doesn't look like mine which is starting to bloom.
