Just been reading the discussion on "seeds I have sown today" between BM & MF before I decide what to do with my 40 seeds sent from Jungle seeds.

They say to soak for 48 hours (don't say if this should be hot or cold water) and then propogate on a daily cycle of 15 hours at 15 C and 9 hours at 35 C

They don't mention scratching the seed.

Anyone got any tips for me please?

Thanks MI - I thought it interesting that you planted the seeds tha sank.

This afternoon I decided to deal with my banana seed neurosis, it was irritating that all 40 seeds were mixed up together, I divided them into 10 BIG seeds, 10 medium seeds, then all the small ones looked the same size, but some slightly differend colour. I divided each set of 10 into 5's chipped 5 of each and soaked. Most sank...........

Looks like its going to ba a case of "Watch this space"!

The ones that sink have absorbed water - therefore have a good chance of germination. Think that's he theory, Waco. Good luck with them! :D

Well after having a near nervous break down over the damned things and phoning Jungleseeds up to ask further advice, I got them planted thisafternoon........phew!

I made 40 careful labels for them, which were the "floaters" and which were "filed", then I c0cked it all up and ended up with two left over lables!

Oh *** it I am off for my G&T!
