Thanks for showing us your photo's Cumberland.Hubby and myself did this walk round Buttermear last September and loved the piece and tranquility of the place.Better than packed beaches any day:gnthb: but then that is why we love the Lake District:D

By the way, never saw the Red Squirrel while we were in that area but might have better luck when we go up later on in the year:)

Thanks for sharing them with us:thmb:

    youre welcome capney & kandyfloss

the reds are still thriving in the county and little sign of the greys, there is a huge effort being made to preserve them both are lovely animals, but i think the reds are just a bit more special

Hi there Cumberland. The first pic in post 4 looks very much like where me and the mrs sat to have a cup of tea, quite near the road, right ? Was a very nice day when we were there and SO peaceful. The L/D is my favourite place, been there a few times. Sadly, I don't think we'll be able to enjoy it as we used to. The knees, you know :( I hope you don't mind me posting this pic, it's one of my favourite places in the whole region. The Langdale Valley. It had been raining heavily (now THERE'S a surprise !) and was still misty when I took the pic.

I actually have this on my desktop to remind me :)
    Cheers...freddy.
